When my family registered for the Eurobike Tour covering Central Italy, I was more or less dispirited to spend four strenuous days with a group of people I have never met before. As soon as our tour guide greeted us to carry our baggage, I felt his energy and passion for his job; I was planning on sleeping on the way to each destination, but our guide’s humorous yet informative conversations seemed to keep everybody on our bus listening. His name was Soon Chan Kweon, and nearly three weeks after the tour ended, I am writing this review to appreciate what he has done for his tourists. Throughout the four-day tour, he was so passionate and knowledgeable about what he did. Most importantly, he cared about his tourist group. He answered every question asked and solved every problem risen. As an 18-year-old entering college, I not only saw the beauty of Central Italy but also found an inspiration to find what I love to do. Watching Mr. Kweon and his overflowing passion and happiness will be an experience to look back at to remind myself to live with passion and vision. He is a tour guide/teacher who I’ll never forget.
